Every now and then, something gives me hope against Warren’s Grim meathook future of America:

DUBLIN (Reuters) - A tall, decorative plant that can be grown in Europe and the United States could provide a significant amount of energy without contributing to global warming, scientists said on Tuesday.

Sounds good, though the talk of mixing it with coal kinda knocks the whole “balance of 0″ for CO2 output on the head on my opinion. That, and while it is easy to say things like only 8% of the land is needed, what would be the cost of amassing that much farmable real estate?

I agree with BGE; it’s time to go nuclear.
