How many of your remember Square One, the math-centric kid’s education show? Good stuff.

They had a recurring segment called “Oops” which was always “Brought to you by erasers!” The formula of each iteration was the same. It began with a close-up of a pencil carrying out a mathematic operation and coming to the wrong result. We cut to some sort of massive engineering failure (bridge collapse, aircraft wings snapping off, etc). Narrator says “OOPS” and he and the pencil erase the mistake work out the math properly.

So yesterday the Acadie and Decarie flooded, bringing traffic to a dead halt yesterday, and frustrating yours truly. The Acadie also had a flash flood a couple weeks back. Both of these expressways have just gone through major renovations …

And all I am thinking is: OOPS!
