State of the Temple[20050509]

Long time, no body bloggin’, so let’s play catchup.

Most of the week was good until Thursday night. That night my girl and I indulged in Indian from the wonderful Taj, before we hit the strip where I had 2 cokes. I also missed my gym for that day.

The following Firday, I had a boxing lesson, and did my legs. I decided that I was tired of paying for my orange beef, and make my onw. The recipe went along swimmingly, until the frying part. I used too much oil, did not let it warm enough, it took forever to cook, and I fear how holy the stuff is. Still, once I added the orange-ginger sauce, it was somewhat like Hot & Spicy’s terrific dish. I then headed out to the movies to catch The Hitch-hiker’s Guide to the Galazy (review later), and had my traditional cinema snack of peanut M&Ms.

This weekend was packed with stuff, so I had to miss out on both gym days. I did help out at a garage sale on staurday (and got a wicked sun burn), and ate fairly well; omlette for breakfast, cheese and protein bars for snacks, chicken brochette for lunch, and leftover orange beef and vegetanles for dinner. I treated myself to ice cream because ice cream cures sun burns. Yes it is true.

Sunday was a Mother’s day luncheon, so I tried to balance out that heavy meal by sticking to protein bars for breakfast and afternoon snacks, and leftover orange beef in the afternoon.

This morning I was back in the gym, with boxing and my chest/biceps routine. Breakfast was a large protein bar (consumed after the cardio intensive boxing) and a protein shake (consumed after the weights).

Back on track.
